My Adventures living with GSD

If you or a family member has just been given a diagnosis of GSD, you may be feeling uncertain. This section of the website is dedicated to individuals and families sharing their experiences of GSD including any challenges they face and how they overcome them.

Together we are stronger

"Together we are stronger"

We can all learn from each other. Your experiences may prove inspirational for others learning to live with GSD.

My parents knew I had GSD type 1a before I was born as I already had a sibling with the same condition. My mum and dad have been super parents taking care of both of us. This has not been easy for them because they have to make sure we eat the right things at the right time. Taking starch can be difficult, too.
